Summer Song Covers #1

If you know me at all, you understand that music is a significant part of who I am. To share what the Father has given me in a more personal way (without being overly public), I've decided to write a few blog posts this summer featuring myself playing covers of songs that have inspired me.

This first song is "Jesus of Nazareth" by John Van Deusen, a local artist from Washington who opened for one of my favorite musicians at a concert last November. The live recording of this song on YouTube drew me into the Savior's heart during late nights spent grading in the classroom. As I would wrestle with doubt and discouragement, this reminder of Messiah's nearness was such a great comfort.
